The fish hatchery got its start in 1923, making use of artesian wells and nearby streams. The hatchery produces four types of fish including, rainbow trout, kokanee salmon, brown trout, and brook trout. Group tours and individuals can visit the hatchery to learn more about the fish raised in the hatchery, the process, and the distribution of fish throughout Connecticut.
